Frequently asked questions
Common questions, answered
What exactly does Arrive UK do?
We meet international students at the airport, drive them to Oxford, hand over their keys and stay alongside them for the first weeks: NHS and GP registration, UK bank account, SIM card, National Insurance number and university enrolment. Parents follow every step live in Arabic, Turkish, Bengali, Urdu or English.
Which airports and cities do you cover?
Heathrow is included in every package. Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Birmingham and Manchester carry a small supplement shown at booking. We are Oxford-based and currently serve students at the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes.
How much does it cost?
Arrival packages start from the Essentials package for students who already have accommodation, with the 2-Week and 3-Week packages adding accommodation, appointments and ongoing support. Add-ons such as NHS registration or extra nights can be bought individually. All prices are shown in GBP on the pricing page with local currency estimates at checkout.
Can my parents really see where I am?
Yes. Every booking includes the parent portal. Parents receive a milestone notification with a photo when the flight lands, when our driver meets you, when you are on the road and when you have your keys. The live map and messages are in their language.
Is the service halal-friendly?
Yes. Our accommodation kitchens are halal-friendly, we arrange a halal grocery shop on arrival, and UniLife includes prayer times, a Qibla compass and a halal food finder for Oxford.
How do I pay?
By card through Stripe, by Wise, or by UK bank transfer. A 50% deposit secures the booking and the balance is due seven days before arrival. Parents can pay on behalf of the student.
